Issues

 |
Creating an Instant Archive
| | Issues allow an entire web "edition" to be archived, or prepared before going live.
This is just like creating issues for a newspaper or journal: they are divided into volumes and issue numbers.
When you are creating a new issue on Instant Newspaper™, you will be asked to enter the date you want the issue to go "Live", the volume and the issue number. This sets up an instant archive for your web site that is searchable.

Categories/sections

 |
Dividing Content
| | Each web site further divides content into categories.
These categories are just like the Sections of a publication: there may be the News Section, Features, Living and Sports; or there may be company introduction, product line, warranties and services; there may be job or ad listings; or animated gifs or music files--it doesn't matter what the content is, it is filed under a category you can easily remember and find.

Stories and Story Assets

 |
What kind of story display?
| | While a Story can be any editable web object or story asset, or their combination, it is often easier to work with them when they are treated as one of two types of stories: Single or Multiple.
Single Stories Single stories are displays that group assets together into one presentation. Most commonly this is refered to as a story in the traditional sense. Single stories may have a title and "teaser" paragraph on one page with a link to the full dipslay on a second page. It can also be displayed entirely on a page with other stories or parts of stories. The important point is that each single story is edited in Instant Newspaper™ as a separate display.
Multiple Stories Multiple Stories are more then one display on the same pag in a list. As opposed to Single Stories, multiple stories cannot be broken into individual assets. The entire story displays as it is entered in Instant Newspaper™. Any type of listing is best served with this type of story display.
Examples of Multiple Story Pages on a web site may be listings for Classified Ads, Professional Service Directory, Announcements, Events Calendar, Real Estate Listings, Product Listings, Tours, Lodging and Restaurants, music titles, video clips, etc..
Story Assets Story Assets are the parts of your story: text, image, audio-visual or other files supported by web browsers and computers. Instant Newspaper™ uses standard objects such as Title, subtitle, teaser, author, text, multiple images, web links, web attachments, banner ads, e-mail, etc., as well as extra objects we can optionally configure for you.
Media displays that use other kinds of story assets, such as video or audio streaming, flash(R), avi, etc. are supported by advanced versions of the application, configured on demand by the user.
